Bad sound. Lots of background noise however I do have the absolute garbage Sonus Faber Omnia

S.A pressing has inner sleeve and lyric insert ...as per usual copy .

Solid sound on this pressing. Fairly noisy vinyl like almost all other mid-70's MCA records. My personal favorite Elton John album.

Oh dear, not a high point of the recording engineer's trade or that of the mastering engineer, heavily compressed and equalized. monotone volume, little range, high point is the colored vinyl. Probably one to avoid, my CD copy sounds better

I bought ROW SEALED for $5.50 on eBay March 2020. Mine is the E-3 Arun <<P>> notch cut. I have to say this record sounds terrible, My brother bought this in 1975 while we were living in Belgium and I think it sounded more crisp. My record is very muted sounding like it's under the vinyl. I compared and contrasted it to the Amazon Prime streaming version, and I think it was noticeably inferior. Just in case you think I'm a crack pot, I've been buying first pressings of Elton DJM and I'm not a novice. I would pass on this version, even if it's what was intended. Elton is a slave to trends, after all.

On my copy I have the same numbers on the matrix/runout little difference on mine there is on Runout Side A : AA before 6376 450 1y 1 and P in a circle followed by 1975 670 03 LJ6
Runout Side B : AA 6376 450 2y 1 (P in a circle) 1975 03 LJ4
If you have the same album could you check if you have the same numbers ? Not sure for the LJ4 and LJ6 maybe 114 and 116

Anyone know the approx. value if it's sealed? I have a copy from 1975 that's sealed and am looking to sell

My version doesn't have the "P" and the diamond-shaped etchings or stampings, as far as I can tell, and I've looked very close.

my cover has the gold MCA-621 stamp, but it doesn't look like a sticker was ever on the cover. not sure how easy the sticker could come off with no damage/residue.
